The Town of Oconomowoc may be getting a new subdivision.
On July 21, a proposal consisting of 31 single-family home lots received preliminary plat approval from the town.
The project is on the Ireland Farm, located on the south side of Highway K between Highway P and Stone Bank, according to developer Jon Spheeris.
The land is adjacent and to the east of the Norwegian Meadows subdivision, Spheeris said.
Each lot ranges in size from three-fourths of an acre to over an acre. Lots are expected to be priced between $99,000 to $127,900.
"It's a nice location adjacent to a nice subdivision," Spheeris said. "We actually developed Norwegian Meadows 20-some years ago. I was very familiar with it. It's a nice area and great community.
Plans for the new subdivision, called the Meadowlands, began last November, but the process was slowed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
"In fact, several town meetings were canceled because of COVID-19," Spheeris said.
The project still needs to gain final plat approval to move forward.
